Thirty-five years ago, photographer and owner, Michael Stoehr took the definition of photography very seriously. In order to develop the skills "to write with light", he pursued an education and experiences that would better prepare him to educate and share with others the things of this world, seen and unseen.

Inspired by the words of Archibald MacLeish, "To see life, to see the world, to eyewitness great

events, to see and take pleasure in seeing, to see and be amazed, to see and be instructed", Michael moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. There he finished his education and worked in film, video and multi-media productions, photojournalism and special event portraiture. As his dreams began to unfold, he explored different venues including political, industrial, recreational and entertainment before finally embracing the medical field where all of his talents and desires to use images to inform and educate were in great demand.

Eventually, as Michael's desires began to evolve into wanting to become more involved with the happy moments of people's lives instead of the tragic, he moved back to the area of his birth. Nestled in between the beautiful bluffs of the Mississippi River valley, he began to focus on the many opportunities to help people celebrate their happiest moments and preserve these memories forever.

During the last thirty years as a professional photographer, three things have never changed for Michael: continually learning and upgrading to be able to create the most beautiful images possible, telling a story with those images and capturing the images in such a personal way that the essence of each person or family's own unique style shines through.
